Guggenheim Venture Partners (GVP) has spun out Guggenheim Partners into a new private equity and venture capital firm Alara Capital. The GVP team has been transferred to Alara, including managing directors Mike Burns and Eric Rothfus, who will now head Alara’s operations.
Alara will still be operating from offices in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania and Austin, Texas as well as will manage Guggenheim Technology Ventures I fund. It will continue to invest in undercapitalized technology companies with practices in distressed venture capital, early stage ventures and technology spin-outs.
