VeriFone Systems and Hypercom will sell Hypercom’s U.S. payment systems business to Ingenico. The French payment terminals maker will pay around $54 million in cash for the business. The transaction is likely to conclude prior to the completion of VeriFone’s acquisition of Hypercom, which is expected to occur in the second half of this year. Following the completion of the merger, VeriFone will retain Hypercom’s non-payment terminal networking products operations in the U.S.
