Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System has terminated its active domestic equity manager, Mazama Capital Management, Pensions & Investments reports. The Springfield-based retirement system dropped the U.S. employee-owned investment manager due to performance.
Mazama managed $149 million of the retirement system in small-cap growth and $99 million in small-cap to midcap growth. It ran the accounts since 2003 and 2004, respectively.
