The U.S. Department of Energy has offered a $102 million loan guarantee for a wind farm in Maine.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) has offered a $102 million loan guarantee for a wind farm in Maine, The Wall Street Journal reports. The farm is being developed by Wagner Wind Energy of New Hampshire and Independence Wind Power of Maine.

The Record Hill project is sponsored by Yale University’s endowment fund. The project is expected to connect to new transmission lines to provide power to Central Maine Power, adds Bloomberg.
