Technology sector exchange-traded funds (ETFs) witnessed a small rise on September 23 after the steep decline in global stocks the day before, ETF Trends reports. Hewlett-Packard Co. lost most in the technology sector following the appointment of a new CEO on September 23. The PowerShares QQQ was up 0.73 percent. Hewlett-Packard shares dropped nearly 5 percent, falling to a six-year low, on investor concerns that newly named CEO Meg Whitman, former EBay CEO, was not the correct choice.
