Constellation Sells Gas Plant For $185M

Constellation Energy will sell its natural gas plant in west Texas for $185.3 million.

Constellation Energy will sell its natural gas plant in west Texas for $185.3 million. The electricity producer will sell Quail Run natural gas plant to High Plains Diversified Energy (HPDEC).

Constellation bought Quail Run in May 2010 as part of a two-plant agreement, which also included the Colorado Bend natural gas plant in ERCOT’s Houston zone. The deal is contingent upon HPDEC securing financing through the sale of municipal bonds. Click here for the release from Business Wire.
