Renova Eneergia has secured a credit facilities worth $543 million, The Wall Street Journal reports. The loan obtained by the U.S. ethanol production, distribution and marketing firm will be used to build 294 megawatts of wind-power plants in the Latin American country. Brazilian development banks, BNDES and Banco do Nordeste, were the lead arrangers of the credit facility. The wind-power parks are expected to be operational by 2012 and will use generators built by General Electric.
