Bank of America has appointed Mukesh Ambani to its board as the lender seeks to expand revenue from outside the U.S., The Wall Street Journal reports. Ambani will stand for election to the BofA board at the company’s annual meeting later in 2011.
He will serve on the board’s compensation-and-benefits committee as well as the credit committee. Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, will be the first non-U.S. citizen to join the board of the bank.
