Macquarie Group has hired Raj Khatri as head of metals and mining for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and Haaris Zafar as a managing director in the team, Bloomberg reports. Additionally, Dmitry Klochkov has been recruited as a vice-president. All three will be based in London.
The trio joins Australia’s biggest investment bank from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). Khatri was previously head of metals and mining for Europe at RBS which is downsizing its securities unit.
