New York–based Lightspeed Financial has set up Lightspeed Institutional as part of its expansion into prime brokerage. Lightspeed Institutional will extend to professional investors a fully integrated, prime brokerage platform along with a sales trading desk for execution services, technology solutions, custody, clearing, securities lending and portfolio reporting.
Prime Brokerage, Commission Management Solutions and Reporting are some of the sophisticated services being offered by Lightspeed Institutional. The new unit, which will also deliver pre-trade risk management and real-time risk monitoring, is a division of Lightspeed Trading, a subsidiary of Lightspeed Financial.
