Wind Telecom is seeking to refinance debt worth a total of about €420 million, Reuters reports. The Egyptian privately held telecom holding company has obtained commitments from a group of banks for the refinancing.
Merrill Lynch International, Citigroup Global Markets, Goldman Sachs International and Morgan Stanley Bank International have provided the commitments. The collateralized notes, issued by Weather Capital, a fully-owned subsidiary of Wind Telecom, will mature on April 4, 2011.
