Aberdeen Asset Managers is seeking to unveil its first U.K. listed emerging markets smaller companies investment trust in June 2011, Financial Times reports. The Aberdeen Emerging Markets Smaller Companies trust seeks to raise around £150 million in gross proceeds.
The trust, which will be managed by Aberdeen emerging markets equity team, including Devan Kaloo and Mark Gordon-James, will also focus on providing long-term capital growth by investing in a diversified portfolio of listed emerging market smaller companies. The trust will have a similar capital structure as the £233.5 million Asian Smaller Companies trust.
