RealtyTrac predicts that there will be a record number of foreclosures in 2011, after reaching a high last year. A spokesman for RealtyTrac said foreclosures may see a “significant spike” in the first quarter after delays related to the robo-signing debacle wind down. An estimated 250,000 foreclosures that would have occurred last year are likely to be completed this quarter.
