An affiliate of Miami Beach-based Crescent Heights, has acquired the remaining 241 units in the Tao condominium in Sunrise for $50.4 million, Business Journal reports. 2641 N Flamingo took a $31.3 million mortgage from Citibank for the acquisition.
Corus Bank held in custody the building in 2008 over a $126.3 million mortgage. After the bank’s failure, the building was put into a joint venture group between Starwood Capital Group and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
