Progress Energy has raised $500 million in a sale of senior unsecured notes, Reuters reports. The notes carry a coupon rate of 4.4% and are due to mature on Jan. 15, 2021. The Raleigh, North Carolina-based energy company appointed Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo Securities as the joint bookrunning managers for the deal.
