U.K. privately owned investment manager, Thames River Capital, has raised £1.7 million through the sale of F&C Asset Management’s shares, Reuters reports. CEO of the firm, Charlie Porter, sold a total of 2.03 million shares at £82.63 per share.
The proceeds from the offering are invested in funds managed by Thames River and in a new emerging market hedge fund launched for Kristof Bulkai. Porter has also invested in the new Thames River European Absolute Return Fund, managed by F&C’s Randeep Grewal and Peter Lees’s F&C U.K. Equity Fund.
