XL Insurance, the insurance unit of XL Group, has expanded its North America construction team to increase its underwriting capabilities and risk engineering services dedicated to providing risk management solutions for contractors. The insurer has appointed David Grigg as vice president, construction professional liability, Jason LaMonica as vice president, subcontractor default insurance and Donald Wehrkamp as executive underwriter, construction primary casualty. Michael Simone will join XL as executive underwriter, primary casualty, Lee-Ann Pinho will be the senior underwriter, construction excess, while Kevin McCormick will be construction excess casualty underwriter. Amanda Abbinante has been named construction excess casualty underwriter, Shannon Lawless as construction risk engineer and Brian Poliafico as construction risk engineer.
