Steadview Sees $100M In Assets In 2011

Former Maverick Capital’s analyst Ravi Mehta is eyeing $100 million in the next year for Steadview, a hedge fund seeded by former Goldman Sachs (Asia) Chairman Mark Schwartz.

Former Maverick Capital’s analyst Ravi Mehta is eyeing $100 million in the next year for Steadview, a hedge fund seeded by former Goldman Sachs (Asia) Chairman Mark Schwartz, Reuters reports. His India-focused long/short equity hedge fund has recorded a return of 92% since its launch in July 2009.

The fund, which is getting $2-3 million from each investor, may get investments of over $10 million in the next one year. The assets of the fund, which has benefited from investments in stocks, such as TTK Prestige, KPIT Cummins Infosystems and eClerx Services, rose about five times in 2011 to $33 million.
