Chi-X Europe and Bats will commence trading Spanish stocks from next month, Reuters reports. The Spanish market regulator, which mandated rivals to report all trades to the exchange via a local broker, overturned the rule last month, allowing the entrance of alternatives. The London Stock Exchange (LSE) will also launch the trading of Spanish stocks through Turquoise, which offers trading services for stocks across European markets. Bats Europe and Chi-X Europe agreed to merge and establish a pan-European trading venue.
