Two of Skandia Investment Group (SIG)’s funds have invested in the Aviva Investors Index Opportunities High Alpha Fund, HedgeWeek reports. SIG’s Skandia Diversified fund and the Skandia Alternative Investments Fund financed the investments mainly with cash.
The move will diversify the investment strategies of SIG’s £2.1 billion suite of multi-asset and alternative funds. Aviva’s High Alpha Fund, run by Iyad Farah and Ned Kelly, is an index arbitrage fund that utilizes active stock analysis and portfolio construction skills, alongside index analysis and value added execution.
