Nestlé has acquired pharmaceutical start-up, CM&D Pharma, The Wall Street Journal reports. The acquisition is part of Nestlé’s strategy to expand into the medical-food business. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Nestlé previously invested in CM&D through Inventages Venture Capital Investments before buying it. In September 2010, Nestlé decided to form Nestlé Health Science and invest $534 million over 10 years in a sister research institute.
