The global investment arm of Sun Life Financial has rolled out three new Canada-focused mutual funds, Reuters reports. The portfolios include Canadian equity and balanced funds sub-advised by BlackRock’s Canadian asset management unit and its North American institutional trust company, while the other bond fund is sub-advised by money manager, McLean Budden.
The Sun Life/BlackRock funds use a combination of index strategies and iShares global sector exchange-traded funds to offer exposure to sectors that are under-represented in the Canadian market. The funds are available through Sun Life advisers and the Mutual Fund Dealers Association and the Investment Industry Regulation Organization of Canada firms.
