Singapore sovereign fund Temasek has a positive outlook about the financial sector opportunities in India, Economic Times reports. Its key areas of interest include NBFCs and stock exchanges, said Manish Kejriwal, senior managing director, Temasek Holdings Advisors India.
Temasek is in discussions with private equity firm TPG to acquire a 20% stake in Shriram Finance. The state investment fund reported an increase in investment value to $193 billion in 2010-11, an $8 billion jump from its last year’s investment.
