BlueGold FX Trader Floats New HF

BlueGold Capital Management’s currency trader, Stephen Jen, has quit from his current role to roll out his own investment and advisory firm.

BlueGold Capital Management’s currency trader, Stephen Jen, has quit from his current role to roll out his own investment and advisory firm, Financial Times reports. SLJ Macro Partners will run a hedge fund and will also provide currency overlay services to institutional investors, pending approval from the Financial Services Authority. The London-based hedge fund will focus on trading currencies, but with other bets in commodities, equities and fixed income to reduce portfolio volatility. Before joining BlueGold, Jen was head of global currency research at Morgan Stanley.
