BNY Mellon Appoints Mexico GM

BNY Mellon has named Jorge Garay as general manager in Mexico and manager of the company’s corporate trust business in the country.

BNY Mellon has named Jorge Garay as general manager in Mexico and manager of the company’s corporate trust business in the country. Based in Mexico City, Garay will be in charge of operations, client service delivery and general management of BNY Mellon Corporate Trust in Mexico. Most recently, he served as head of the trust division at Banco Santander in Mexico. Prior to that, Garay worked at ABN AMRO Bank, HSBC Bank and Banorte. Separately, Jose Sahab, who was general counsel of finance at Pemex, has been named head of sales, Mexico and Colombia to BNY Mellon’s global America sales team.
