Ultimate Electronics has sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Ultimate Electronics has sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, Bloomberg reports. The electronics store operator has cited decreased sales at certain locations and refusal of some suppliers to ship goods on credit as the reason for bankruptcy. The company has reported both assets and debt to be in the range of $100-500 million. The company’s largest unsecured creditors include Video Products Distributors, Valassis Communications and Sony Electronics.
