Albourne Partners and Thomson Reuters have rolled out Open Protocol Enabling Risk Aggregation (OPERA), Mondovisione reports. The new protocol standardizes how hedge funds collect, collate and convey risk information. The new protocol will help hedge fund investors merge their exposures, cut proliferation of investor-specific risk formats and provide regulators with a detailed technical approach to identify systemic risk. The product, developed by an independent working group of 16 firms, has been launched because the level of transparency available to investors varies from fund to fund and from strategy to strategy.
