Fidelity Worldwide Investment has boosted its multi-manager team with the appointment, effective January, of James Bateman, FundWeb reports. In the new role, he will manage the current multi-manager team of three unfettered portfolio managers.
Bateman will also drive the formulation of the manager selection procedure for the global equity products managed by the firm’s London office. At present, he is serving as vice-president of multi-manager and fund research at Barclays Wealth. At Barclays he manages approximately £2.3 billion spread across five multi-manager funds.
