Darwin Investment Managers, owned by David Jane, will launch its first fund, TM Darwin Multi Asset Fund, in April 2011, Investment Week reports. The new vehicle’s strategy involves identifying positive long-term themes, including climate change, the new energy economy and global political instability. About 50% of the fund’s portfolio will be in equities, 30% in non-European medium-dated government bonds, including emerging markets, and the rest in commodities such as gold, energy and agricultural. The fund can invest in assets, including currencies, property and ETFs. The company is also planning to unveil a total return multi-asset fund in September 2011.
