London Stock Exchange (LSE) is seeking to launch trading options on the FTSE100 Index in September 2011, Reuters reports. The exchange will start trading FTSE 100 futures on June 6, 2011.
LSE is aiming to enter the European futures and options trading market, which is dominated by NYSE Liffe and Eurex. LSE expects to support the whole range of pan-European futures and options contracts, including the EuroStoxx 50 future.
