Threadneedle has appointed Daniel Isidori to its Asia ex-Japan and global emerging markets equities team, Financial Times reports. In his new position, Isidori will focus on Threadneedle’s investments in Latin America and will take over as lead manager on its £1.2 billion Latin America fund. Isidori takes over from Jeremy Podger, who was appointed interim manager when Julian Thompson left the firm to join Axa Investment Managers in October 2010. Previously, Isidori was co-managing Baring Asset Management’s Latin America active equity fund and has previously served at HSBC Asset Management.
