Health Care REIT has formed an $890 million partnership with Benchmark Senior Living. The partnership includes 34 private-pay senior housing communities with an $890 million investment balance. The move will help Health Care REIT execute its relationship investment strategy, which resulted in $6.9 billion in gross investments announced in 2010 and 2011. Benchmark communities, which are located in New England markets, have an average age of 12 years.
