Barclays Wealth is partnering with Intrinsic Financial Services to offer consumers a broader structured investments proposition, Financial Times reports. As per the deal, Barclays Wealth will become Intrinsic’s preferred supplier of structured investments and will work with the Swindon-based company to create its proposition within this space.
The first product on offer will be the Wealthbuilder fixed term deposit, which is an alternative to a conventional deposit account, targets investors seeking the security that capital will be repaid in full at maturity, irrespective of market performance. Investors may stand to lose their capital in case of premature withdrawal of the deposit.
