Montagu Private Equity’s latest fund for European buyouts has raised €2.5 billion, The Wall Street Journal reports. The Montagu IV fund received commitments from investors, including Harvard Endowment, New York Life, Singapore’s GIC and funds managed by HSBC, adds Financial Times. Montagu is focusing on management buyouts with deal value ranging from €100-1 billion. The London-based midmarket specialist recently acquired €425 million Polish broadcaster, Emitel, and also purchased Dynamic-net.ch as a bolt-on business for its German web-hosting company, Host Europe Group.
