Nordic Capital’s sale of payments company Point International has reached the second stage of bidding, Reuters reports. The bids are due by end-September. The private equity firm may value the deal between €700 million and €950 million. Advent International, Bain Capital, Providence Equity Partners and TPG Capital are the potential buyers.
The deal is expected to be funded through a leveraged buyout from Scandinavian banks willing to take on large parts of debt on less aggressive terms for domestic companies. The deal may also draw mezzanine investors. J.P. Morgan is managing the transaction.
