Belarus is planning to sell a part of its stake in Beltransgas, a company that tranships Russian gas to Europe, Reuters reports. Russian gas company, Gazprom, has already acquired a 50% stake in Beltransgas for $2.5 billion.
The country may also sell its stake in a joint venture with Russian mobile telecom company, MTS and fertilizers producer, Belaruskali. Belarus is in discussions with Russia over a $3 billion bailout loan, whose proceeds will be used to avoid devaluation of the Belarusian ruble.
