French petroleum company, Total, is planning to sell 800 petrol stations in the U.K., Financial Times reports. The company is in discussions with a group of investors that includes property developer, Gerald Ronson, to sell the assets. The consortium includes Ronson’s petrol retail chain, Snax 24, Investec and London-based investment group Grovepoint Capital. Blackstone, TPG and Bain Capital and local fuel distributors Greenergy and MRH have also shown interest. In September 2010, Total hired JPMorgan to find a buyer for its U.K. retail network.
