Helical Bar Buys Corby Town Centre For £70M

Property development and investment company Helical Bar has acquired Corby Town Centre and Willow Place from commercial property company Land Securities Group for £70 million.

Property development and investment company Helical Bar has acquired Corby Town Centre and Willow Place from commercial property company Land Securities Group for £70 million, Property Week reports. Land Securities had originally purchased the centre by taking over Tops Estates in 2005. In two years, it expanded the area with Willow Place.

The centre, anchored by Primark, TK Maxx and Wilkinson, consists of retail units and office and residential accommodation. The deal also includes the Oasis Retail Park, with retailers such as Argos and Farmfoods. The total assets purchased by Helical during the year now top £185 million. Savills and CBRE represented Land Securities and Helical Bar, respectively.
