Chicago Municipal Employees’ Annuity and Benefit Fund is seeking to allocate $70-75 million to its private equity portfolio, Pensions & Investments reports. At present, the system is under its 10% target allocation to private equity, with slightly less than $200 million dedicated to the asset. It has not yet been determined how the investment will be funded. The system has placed its large-cap domestic equity value manager, Wellington Management, on watch for performance. Wellington manages about $130 million for the fund.
