Citi has appointed Nathan Sheets as global head of international economics within its investment research and analysis division. Based in New York, he will jointly work under Citi’s chief economist Willem Buiter and its global head of investment research Andrew Pitt.
Before joining Citi, he was with the Federal Reserve Board in Washington as director of the division of international finance and as an economist to the Federal Open Market Committee. He has also been senior adviser to the U.S. executive director at the International Monetary Fund.
