CVC Capital Partners has bought a 51% stake in Virgin Active in a deal that values the fitness chain at £900 million, Financial Times reports. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Richard Branson’s Virgin Group will continue to own a 49% stake in the 11-year-old company. The private equity group is financing the deal with around £450 million of equity, adds Reuters.
