UniCredit To Hire Ex-SocGen Banker

UniCredit is expected to appoint Jean- Pierre Mustier as head of its corporate markets and investment banking unit.

UniCredit is expected to appoint Jean- Pierre Mustier as head of its corporate markets and investment banking unit, The Wall Street Journal reports. He will replace former UniCredit deputy CEO, Sergio Ermotti, who quit in October 2010.

Mustier was previously working with Societe Generale, which he left in August 2009 after being named in an insider trading probe. He headed Societe Generale’s investment banking unit in January 2008.
