U.K.’s Tesco and Carrefour are seeking to acquire Polish Emperia’s retail chain, Reuters reports. The deal is being considered by more than 12 firms, including private equity firms Advent International, Penta Investments and Mid Europa Partners.
The retail arm of Emperia is valued at $276 million. The deal will be closed with a potential investor at the end of 2011. The unit includes brands such as Stokrotka, Groszek and Lewiatan.
