Singapore’s GIC To Put $300M In Avolon

Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund Government Investment Corp. is allocating $300 million in equity in Dublin-based aircraft leasing group Avolon.

Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund (SWF) Government Investment Corp. (GIC) is allocating $300 million in equity in Dublin-based aircraft leasing group Avolon, Irish Times reports. The SWF will inject the funds into Avolon to become a major shareholder.

Other major stakeholders include private equity groups Cinven, CVC Capital Partners and Oak Hill Capital Partners. The investment will bring the amount of equity and debt raised by Avolon to nearly $4 billion since it was established.
