Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) is seeking to boost its private equity portfolio, Reuters reports. The Canadian pension fund aims to acquire companies between the $102 million to $512.09 million range.
The retirement system earlier partnered with private equity firm, Berkshire Partners, to acquire Husky International from Canadian buyout firm, Onex, for $2.1 billion. OMERS, which has around $54.28 billion in assets, has a $5.63 billion private equity allocation.
