Queensland Investment has shut its implemented Australian equities and directly managed large-cap equities products, Investor Daily reports. The vehicles were closed due to a lack of demand. The portfolios represented about 1% of total funds under management of the firm, which was $57 billion in March 2011. The move has led to the exit of six staff managers, including head of Australian equities Paul Barnes and head of implemented Australian equities Stuart Birkett.
