Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (EDRAM) has hired Sumitomo Mitsui AM to manage its new Japan equity fund, Citywire reports. The French firm’s Selective Japan fund will be run by Takahiro Uemura and Takashi Shimodaira. The fund has a concentrated portfolio of 50-60 holdings. The product focuses on Asian mid to long term growth themes, including rising consumption, investments in infrastructure and efforts to improve and preserve the environment.
