DoubleLine Capital is planning to launch active ETFs in the first quarter of 2012, The Wall Street Journal reports. DoubleLine is in talks with possible partners to enter the active ETFs business.
Jeff Gundlach is expected to manage some of the active ETFs, while head of the emerging-markets fixed-income team Luz Padilla will run another. DoubleLine, which has about $12 billion in mutual funds, separately managed accounts and other vehicles, currently does not oversees any ETF.
