Private equity firm, Golden Gate Private Equity, has offered to acquire semiconductor company, Conexant Systems, The Wall Street Journal reports. The Golden Gate bid ranges from $192-200 million.
The firm has offered $2.35-2.45 a share in cash for all the outstanding shares of Conexant. Standard Microsystems had earlier in January 2011 offered to buy Conexant for about $184 million.
