Barclays is shedding 140 jobs at its corporate division, The Wall Street Journal reports. The layoffs are a part of the bank’s ongoing strategy to trim costs across the company by downsizing. Out of the total job cuts, 100 will be compulsory and 40 voluntary. The move follows the merger of the infrastructure of Barclays Corporate with its investment banking business Barclays Capital.
